South Carolina High School League Coaches Advisory Council

The South Carolina High School League’s Coaches Advisory Council was created to foster a working relationship between the League and the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association.  The focus of the Council’s will be to:

-       serve as a sounding board for the League.

-       help the League to think forward.

-       keep education and sportsmanship at the forefront.

-       share with other sport coaches ideas to improve athletics.

The members of this Council have been selected by their auxiliary sport coaches associations to serve as spokesperson for their respective associations. In short, these are the same individuals that serve as the auxiliary associations coaches representative used by the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association.

The following coaches are on the Coaches Advisory Council:

      Athletic Trainer – Barry Atkinson

      Baseball – Art Boozer

      Basketball – Mike Gossett

      Cheer – Gwen Clark

      Football – Mike Ware

      Golf – Steve Gribble

      Soccer – Kevin Heise

      Softball – Amy Scott

      Strength – Mark Wade

      Swim – Patricia Gettys

      Tennis – Kay Young

      Track & Field and Cross Country – Jackie O’Rourke

      Volleyball – Alexis Glover

      Wrestling – Russ Howard
